Earn Online Cash With Google PageRank
Understanding Google PageRank is important when you want to earn cash online. Your page rank has a direct relationship with the amount of money your site can earn in a number of different ways.
Google assigns all web pages it indexes a Google PageRank value. This value, based on Google’s complex internal ranking algorithms, begins at 0, the lowest value, and goes to 10, the highest value. This value is a logarithmic scale, meaning that the value increases exponentially, rather than incrementally as it increases. PageRank changes over time and can go up and down based on a number of complex reasons. Google updates the external PageRank about every 3-9 months.
The PageRank is based on the number of links a site has both incoming and outgoing and the value of these links. If the page ‘A’ links to page ‘B’, the latter gets credited with a percentage of page ‘A’ Page Rank. Page ‘A’ doesn’t lose anything so far as Page Rank is concerned unless Page ‘B’ is considered to be a bad neighborhood site or banned site. However, the amount of PageRank that’s passed diminishes as the number of outbound links increase. Therefore, the fewer outbound links on a per page the higher the Page Rank passed will be.
While PageRank is based on individual pages, the site where a page resides does have an effect. Sites that include pages on the topics as shown in the graphic are the type of sites that Google considers bad neighborhood sites. You should never link to a site like this because this can cause your PageRank to be diminished. If you earn cash online using one of these business models then it is important that you avoid linking to them from sites that you want to keep clean.
Remember that you won’t lose PageRank if bad neighborhood sites link to you, only if you link to them. So, as long as you don’t link back to them, don’t worry about them linking to you. It won’t hurt your site and may even help it a little.
One way to earn cash online that used to be popular was to sell your PageRank using paid links and paid reviews. Google takes a dim view of this activity and devalues the PageRank of sites that indulge in this practice. Therefore, this is not a way I recommend to earn cash online. While this method is still foisted upon the unsuspecting as a way to earn online cash fast it is something that a wise blog owner will avoid.
You should also check your outbound links periodically to insure that the sites you’re linking to are still active and haven’t changed for some reason. This simple step will help you avoid PageRank problems when a domain is sold or changes format.
By having a site with a good Google PageRank the value of the site increases and it’s ability to enhance other sites increases as well. This is important when you want to earn cash online via your sites.
